When I used to live in Vancouver, Canada, one of the most effective ways to improve my English skill was to go to a movie theater and stay there as long as I can. Though I knew I was wrong, I sometimes sneaked into another theater after I watched a movie to watch many movies at that time. Because of this cumulative movie-watching style, I was able to improve my English skill, especially, listening skill, very swiftly.

Now, I am living in Japan, so it is sort of difficult for me to come in touch with the scenes where I can speak English and also, I would like to keep my English skill stable until I get a chance to work for a foreign web studio. That's why I still keep watching as many movies as I can whenever I have sufficient time. And luckily, I am a movie freak.

This weekend, I had enough time to watch movies and I was also in the mood for staying away from my PC work for a while, so I decided to watch many movies. This time, I watched four movies "SWAT", "BadBoys 2 Bad", "BASIC", and "The Island".

■ SWAT

I watched Colin Farrell's latest movie called "Maimi Vice", so I was sort of curious about watching his other work.

■ BadBoys 2 Bad

After watching "The enemy of the state", I've been a huge fan of Will Smith !!! This movie is hilarious !!!

■ BASIC

This movie trailer was intriguing to me, but it was not as good as I expected.

■ The island

I've been also a huge fan of Scarlett Johansson since "Ghost world". She is so sweet !!!

I watched these movies without the subtitles, so I missed some important points, I guess, but I feel that watching movies is absolutely
an enjoyable study resource.
