Youtube is one of the biggest and the most famous worldwide video social sites now. If you are web-geeks or video-freaks, I am sure you would've already visited the site and browsed some videos. If you haven't, just browse the site and enjoy watching some videos now.

So......, what are you gonna do when you find your favorite or interesting videos there ? If you really would like to tell them to your friends asap, what are you gonna do next ? Probably, you call them, email them or mention them on your blogs and SNS accounts, right ?

The application "YouTube - snapshot" I made the other day is definitely helpful to you in this case. The reason why is you can easily snapshot the moments of your favorite videos as you find now the best scenes.

The procedure is pretty simple.
You simply search for your interesting videos with specific keywords, let me see..., for example, "ipod" and just start watching them in the flash application. (I love the brand-new functionality added to Flash 8, BitmapData class.) When you are in the mood for snapshoting, just push the "snapshot" button. The moment you snapshot will be automatically buffered in the memory and retained it until your two actions. The one is that if you would like to keep it, you can save the snaphot as a jpeg file in your local machine. The other is if you need to challenge snapshoting again, you can cancel saving and try it again until you totally get satisfied with it.

You would've described fascinating videos and put the permalinks for them so far. However, from now on, you can mention them to your friends with some images on your blogs or SNS accounts. This must be more persuasive !!!

In Japan, this application has been used to get the profile pictures of SNSs.
I was not expecting this result, but I was sort of interested in their new approach.

In my case, I like going to CD stores to browse so many artistic CD jackets, and I sometimes buy some of them on the spur of the moment because of these impressive CD covers. CD jacket art is absolutely my luxurious resource of art. When I get stuck in designing or something like this, I absolutely go to CD stores to get the new motivation or inspiration.

That's why I made the new application called "Jacket Art Work" based on the concept - CREATE YOUR OWN JACKET ART WORK CANPUS -. In this application, you can search for your favorite CD jackets using Amazon ECS 4.0 and you can create your own jacket art work canpus with each artistic piece. Each jacket obviously includes so much spice of art, but more CD jackets you get together, the more artistic this canpus becomes. Even though it was already stimulating to me, I add another functionality in it. That's tagging. Whenever you find your favorite CD jacket, you can add your own tags to it. Off course, you think that other users might add the same tag to other CD jackets, so you can see the color popularity of tags based on how many tags are posted. It's like color tag cloud. As well as color-categorizing, you can also tag-search. Off course, if you want, you can buy CD jackets on Amazon.com or Amazon.co.jp.

Whenever you add your own tags to CD jackets, you contribute the change of color popularity in Jacket Art Work. Somebody might've already added the same tags to other CD jackets, so some tags might be more popular than others. That's why the color popularity happens in this application like tag cloud. I added a consistent variety of colors for showing the color popularity and this makes a great variety of color layouts on your screen.The more tags you add, the more different the color layout of the color popularity becomes.

I made a simple blog bar, "FlickrBar", through using Flickr's RSS Feed on each user's account. I made it like a chocolate bar, when I was remembering "toblerone" which I would often eat when I was in Canada. It was my stomach partner !!!

I made a digital-clock interface application that is based on Flickr RSS and API, Flickr Time.
The concept of this application is definitely "Time" and whenever time changes, you see the new pictures uploaded by people all over the world.
Also, people who love taking pictures concentrate on the momment that never happens again. To express this sub-concept, I used Flickr's interestingness API.

I updated the screensaver that I created 2 years ago, Loopy.
Loopy is the desktop screensaver that endlessly shows the recent pictures of Flicker at random.

When I made this screensaver, the authoring envrionment was Flash MX 2007.
However, after the release of Flash Player 8, the specifications of System.security.sandboxType partly changed, so some unpredictable problems happened when the screensaver accessed the remote Flickr server.

Now, it is available for Windows(I'ven't tested this on Windows Vista...), Mac OS 8-9, Mac OS X. Unfortunately, it is currently unavailable for Intel Mac, but I will purchase the newest Screentime and make it for Intel soon.

Since I really wanted to create an apollo application for my practical use, I created videlog based on the concept "What am I eating except 3 meals ?" and through it, I caculated the total calorie of between-meal eating. This application can be sort of an anti-metabolic syndrome appllication for health. This is one of my experimental work for pratice and fun, so it is not quite of high quality, but it was very great for me to have the experience to use apollo and flex framework.

In the apollo application, I stored a recorded netstream through a web camera and saved it as a flv using Red 5, s2flex2-components, and AMFPHP 1.9-beta.

moved the flv to a web directry for progressive downloading using AMFPHP 1.9-beta, created a thumbnail of a flv using ffmpeg-php and Pecl::Imagick, and saved the neccessay information to MySQL.

got an associative array and the number of the total calorie for videlog.szp.jp using AMFPHP 1.9-beta
